In this video portrait you will get to know TRACE-participant Lourdes Escalante who works in Guatemala.
Lourdes Escalante (25) is from El Salvador, but works for ICEFI in Guatemala. She is an economist and works especially for fiscal transparency. She works with research on consequences of the extractive industries in Guatemala, among others. In this video, Lourdes tells about why she applied to PWYP Norways TRACE programme, and how she wants to use the knowledge in her home country.
– I think extended country-by-country reporting will lead to more transparency. Not only in Norway, but in the whole world, says Escalante.
